Ultramid A3HG7 is a polyamide 66 reinforced with 35% glass fiber. It provides good toughness at low temperatures, hardness, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength and good processability. This grade exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants and hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. It is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It possesses good elastic & dielectric properties, high heat-aging resistance, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. Ultramid A3HG7 is processed by injection molding. It is used for gear-wheels, solenoid valve housings, cable attachments, automobile manifolds and cylinder head covers as well as for electrical insulating parts.
