Ultramid A3WG5 UNCOLORED is a polyamide 66 reinforced with 25% glass fiber. It possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. This grade provides good toughness at low temperatures, hardness, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength and good processability. Ultramid A3WG5 UNCOLORED exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants and hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. It is resistant to heat aging, corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It is processed by injection molding. It is used for machinery components and housings such as coil formers and bearing cages.
